LOUIS, April 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Union Electric Company, doing business as Ameren Missouri, a subsidiary of Ameren Corporation (NYSE: AEE), announced today the pricing of a public offering of $350 million aggregate principal amount of 3.50% senior secured notes due 2024 at 99.982% of their principal amount. The transaction is expected to close on April 4, 2014.

Ameren Missouri intends to use the net proceeds of the offering to repay at maturity $104 million aggregate principal amount of its 5.50% senior secured notes due May 15, 2014 and to repay outstanding short-term debt.
