On July 9, Tomorrow's Aeronautical Museum (TAM) debuted the first-ever Douglas DC-3 aircraft to be converted into a gourmet food truck during a ceremony in South Los Angeles. The plane, a fixed-wing propeller driven aircraft, helped revolutionize air transportation in the 1930s and 1940s and is most recognized for its military contributions during World War II. The iconic DC-3's fuselage is now taking on a new mission: supporting aspiring young aviators from Compton, California. The American Airlines Los Angeles Regional Council sponsors the museum, where American team members volunteer their time. Meet them and see the food truck for yourself in the video below.
