American Campus Communities, Inc. (NYSE:ACC), the largest owner, manager and developer of high-quality student housing properties in the U.S., today announced that its operating partnership, American Campus Communities Operating Partnership LP, priced a $400 million offering of senior unsecured notes under its existing shelf registration. These ten-year notes were issued at 99.912 percent of par value with a coupon of 3.625 percent and are fully and unconditionally guaranteed by American Campus Communities, Inc. Interest on the notes is payable semi-annually on May 15 and November 15, with the first payment beginning on May 15, 2018. The notes will mature on November 15, 2027. American Campus Communities Operating Partnership LP expects to use the net proceeds (after expenses) of approximately $395 million to repay the outstanding balance of its revolving credit facility, to fund the previously-announced Core/DRW transaction, other projects in its current development pipeline and other potential acquisitions of student housing properties and for general business purposes. Settlement is scheduled for October 10, 2017, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
