Gold Table for Two at Prune: The American Express® Gold Card Celebrates its Newest Membership Rewards® Restaurant Benefit with Exclusive Experience at One of NYC's Hottest Restaurants

American Express today announced "The Gold Experience" at Prune restaurant in NYC, to celebrate the recent addition of 2x Membership Rewards points at US restaurants for Gold and Premier Rewards Gold Card Members. The Gold Experience makes getting a coveted reservation easier by giving Gold and Premier Rewards Gold Card Members access to reserve one of two "Gold Tables for Two" every night this September. Additionally, any eligible Gold or Premier Rewards Gold Card Member can enjoy a complimentary off-menu dish from Chef and Owner Gabrielle Hamilton by presenting their Card to the host or server at the start of their meal.

Offer Details**:

Gold Table for Two

  • Eligible Card Members must call Prune Restaurant at (212) 677-6221 and request a reservation for the American Express Gold "Table for Two." The Gold table is reserved for two people, an eligible Gold Card Member and a guest, at 6:30pm and 8:00pm EST every night that Prune is open to the public from 9/1 through 9/30/15. Reservations are granted on a first come, first serve basis and must be made over the phone.
  • Arrive at Prune by the designated reservation time and check in with the host. Card Members must have and show the host their American Express Gold or Premier Rewards Gold Card upon arrival to ensure their reservation is honored.
  • Reservations are subject to Prune restaurants reservation policies.

Gold-Inspired Off Menu Dish

  • Any Gold Card Member dining in restaurant may present their eligible Card to the host or server upon arrival or before ordering to receive a complimentary off-menu dish, inspired by Gold.

New York City is no stranger to some of the hottest and most critically-acclaimed restaurants in the culinary world, including Prune, which came on the scene in 1999. With its status as a New York mainstay, among locals, foodies, and visitors alike, Prune's limited seating makes it notoriously difficult to obtain a reservation.

"Gold Card Members love to dine out and try new restaurants, whether while traveling or exploring their own city," said Lisa Durocher, senior vice president, Consumer Charge and Benefits, American Express. "That's why we added a new restaurant benefit to our Gold Cards to help Card Members make dining out all the more rewarding."
