SOUTHERN LUZERNE COUNTY SERVICE AREA
More than 4,000 feet of aging pipe replaced
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (June 4, 2012) - Pennsylvania
American Water today announced the completion of several main
replacement projects totaling 4,300 feet of aging pipe to
improve reliability for customers, reduce service disruptions
and increase water flows for firefighting. The projects,
located in Nanticoke, Sugar Notch, and Hanover Township, are
valued at approximately $655,000.
The projects included replacing undersized, cast-iron water
main with new eight- and 12-inch ductile iron pipe.
