Missouri American Water Acquires Anna Meadows Water and Sewer Systems in Lincoln County

St. Louis County, MO (December 22, 2014) - Today, Missouri American Water announced the company's acquisition of the water and sewer systems previously owned by the Anna Meadows Homeowners' Association, located near Moscow Mills, Mo. The purchase of the system adds approximately 75 customers to the company's customer base.
"The acquisition of this system will provide Anna Meadows customers with access to water and sewer professionals and a convenient 24/7 customer service center," said Frank Kartmann, president of Missouri American Water.
The acquisition of the Anna Meadows systems was approved by the Missouri Public Service Commission on November 5, 2014 and closed on December 19, 2014. The Anna Meadows system will be incorporated into Missouri American Water's East Central Missouri Operation, which serves
approximately 49,000 customers in St. Charles, Warren and Jefferson Counties, Jefferson City and
Mexico, Missouri.
Customers will receive letters with information about the sale and transition. They will receive their first monthly bill from Missouri American Water in early February for service provided in January.
