PENNSYLVANIA AMERICAN WATER KICKS OFF $250,000 PIPELINE UPGRADE FOR EAST AND WEST NORRITON NORRISTOWN, Pa. (October 29, 2014) - Pennsylvania American Water today announced the start of new water main installation in East and West Norriton Townships to improve service reliability for customers and increase water flows for firefighting. The approximately $250,000 project will replace nearly 1,900 feet of aging pipe that dates back to the early 1950s.

Starting this week, crews will install new eight-inch ductile-iron water main along Foundry Lane between Germantown Pike and Industry Lane. Construction will take place weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Traffic restrictions will be in place during work hours, and motorists are urged to find alternate routes. The company plans to complete water main installation and transfer of customer services by late December, weather permitting. Final paving restoration is expected in December 2014 or spring 2015.
During construction, customers might experience temporary service interruptions, discolored water and/or lower than normal water pressure. Crews will work as quickly as possible to shorten the length of these temporary inconveniences. For more information, contact Pennsylvania American Water's customer service center at 1-800-565-7292.
