Illinois American Water is pleased to announce Lisa Duarte has joined the Illinois American Water Board of Directors. Duarte is currently a partner in the government affairs group of Forde Law Offices and has extensive experience in government affairs in the state of Illinois.

As a board member, Duarte will bring an independent and broad view to the company. She will provide guidance to the company’s management team and assist in driving the strategic initiatives of Illinois American Water.

According to Illinois American Water President Bruce Hauk, Duarte will also serve as an ambassador for the company in the community and exercise independent judgment for the overall benefit of the company and its shareholders.

Duarte has a Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Michigan State University. She was born, raised and continues to reside in Chicago.
