PENNSYLVANIA AMERICAN WATER ANNOUNCES WATER TANK REPLACEMENT IN PIKE COUNTY BUSHKILL, Pa. (July 20, 2017) - Pennsylvania American Water today announced the start of construction to replace a water storage tank in Saw Creek Estates to improve reliability and service to customers. The cost of the project is more than $575,000.

The project recently got underway and involves replacing an existing 200,000 gallon storage tank located along Bedford Court in Saw Creek Estates. The new 226,000-gallon tank is expected to be in service by the end of November.

"This storage tank is critical to the water infrastructure to ensure the community has an adequate, reliable supply to meet customers' demand," said Pennsylvania American Water Operations Supervisor Kasey White.

Construction will take place Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. During construction, the company does not expect any service interruptions to local customers.

The new tank is among four water storage structures that the company is constructing this year across Pennsylvania, along with plans to rehabilitate 10 existing tanks, which represents a total investment of approximately $8.5 million.
