In his new position, Yakes is responsible for overseeing the company's production and field operations, serving approximately 12,000 local customers. Prior to joining Pennsylvania American Water, he served as facilities and operations manager at SGS Accutest Laboratories.

A resident of Jackson, New Jersey, Yakes earned a Master of Business Administration from Georgian Court University, Lakewood, New Jersey, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Richard Stockton College, Pomona, New Jersey.
