PENNSYLVANIA AMERICAN WATER STARTING $900,000 WATER LINE UPGRADE IN EAST NORRITON NORRISTOWN, Pa. (February 1, 2016) - Pennsylvania American Water today announced the start of construction in East Norriton Township to install new water main to improve service reliability, prevent water outages and fire protection. The project will replace approximately 5,000 feet of aging water main that dates back to the 1950s.


Starting this week, crews will install new eight-inch ductile iron pipe along Colonial Drive, Colonial Circle, Valley View Road, Valley View Circle, Springview Road, 4th Avenue and Montgomery Avenue. Construction will take place weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Traffic restrictions will be in place during construction hours, and motorists are urged to find alternate routes.


The company expects to complete the water main upgrades and service tie-ins by September. Weather permitting. final paving restoration will take place by end of 2016 or spring 2017. During construction, customers might experience temporary water service interruptions, discolored water and/or lower than normal water pressure.
