VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., May 6, 2011 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Amerigroup Corporation (NYSE: AGP) hosted the Company's Second Annual Eco Fair featuring corporate and civic sustainability partners. The event held on May 5, at the Company's National Support Center campus, educated associates on green initiatives and resources.

It provides our associates many ways in which they can make a difference," said James Truess, Amerigroup executive vice president and chief financial officer. The event featured exhibits from 24 community vendors and partners, including the City of Virginia Beach, a local farmers market and nonprofit organizations. "The City of Virginia Beach is pleased to partner with Amerigroup in promoting the green initiatives available in our community," Virginia Beach Mayor Will Sessoms said. "Amerigroup provides an example of how a local business can help enable the city to be a more sustainable community."
