BUFFALO, NY -- Reichert Technologies, a business unit of AMETEK Ultra Precision Technologies, will take part in the 2018 Pittcon Conference and Expo, February 26 to March 1, 2018, in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.

Conference attendees, including laboratory and analytical scientists involved in the life sciences, environmental, food and beverages, and pharmaceuticals, will see demonstrated Reichert's impressive line of AR Series refractometers, while its team of experts will walk visitors through the many features of its top-of-the-line AR9 and AR5 bench-top refractometers.

Reichert's AR9 is a top-of-the line refractometer that is exceptionally precise with measurement accuracies of 0.00002 refractive index (RI) and 0.02% Brix. With a built-in Peltier thermostat, the AR9 controls the temperature at the sample interface to an exactness of 0.03°C.

The AR9 is resilient and durable for exceptional performance in all applications. Backed by Reichert's well-established reputation for leadership and innovation in analytical instruments, the AR9 offers the edge for important research and development projects. The AR9 provides the mandatory data needed for the most critically regulated industries. It features a YAG (Yttrium Aluminum Garnet) prism, the hardest prism available, guaranteeing precise performance and resilience for years. A 7' color, touchscreen Universal Display is included.

The AR5 is an economical refractometer that includes Peltier temperature control, making sophisticated measuring technology available to users on a tight budget. The AR5 is precise, measuring refractive index and % Brix with results accurate to 0.0001 RI and 0.05% Brix.

While the AR5 is the ideal instrument for performing routine measurements with standard scales, it can be configured for custom measurements. Its robust design resists surface damage caused by demanding applications. A sapphire prism ensures reliable operation and makes the AR5 a laboratory workhorse. High-end accuracy and a reasonable price give customers an exceptional advantage.

Reichert Technologies
Reichert Technologies has a long history of innovation that began with the first American-made microscope by Charles Spencer in 1838 and the founding of the C. Reichert Optical Company in Vienna, Austria, in 1876. For the past 150 years, Reichert has invented nearly every breakthrough in refractometry that has become an industry standard. Although its name has changed over the years, Reichert's commitment to innovation and quality continues in every product it designs and builds.

Today, the Analytical Instruments division of Reichert Technologies, is the only US manufacturer that designs, manufactures, sells and services a full line of optical refractometers for a wide range of industries.

Reichert Technologies is a unit of AMETEK Ultra Precision Technologies within the Electronic Instruments Group of AMETEK, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices.
