BARBEN Receives Canadian Registration Number For pH, ORP AND Conductivity Sensors
CARSON CITY, NV- Barben Analytical announces that it recently was issued Canadian Registration Number 0F16420.2 (Alberta) for its pH, ORP and conductivity sensors. Often referred to as 'CRN', this product designation certifies that Barben sensors have passed stringent high-pressure testing and can be used in industrial pressure vessels and piping.
'CRN requires burst testing that subjects the product to high pressure at elevated temperatures to the point of failure,' comments Senior. Applications Engineer Harvey Mitchell. 'A 10x de-rating is then applied to the product for safety purposes. Surprisingly, our pH and conductivity sensors required very little deviation from our published specifications for pressure and temperature, even when the de-rating is applied'.
Barben Analytical products with CRN include the Performance Series pH and ORP sensors built with the patented Axial Ion Path reference design. Designed for highly corrosive liquids, the Axial Ion Path reference is specifically targeted towards measurements found in chemical plants, refineries, paper mills, mining and other industrial applications. Barben's unique four electrode conductivity sensors also are part of the CRN offering. Four electrode sensors work well in medium to high conductivity applications where particulate coating and build-up may be present in the measured liquid.
The CRN registration includes Barben's full offering of measurement electrodes and seal options for compatibility with the most difficult industrial measurement applications. A full line of CRN approved mounting fittings for each sensor type also is available with options for 316 stainless steel, titanium, and Hastelloy C-276 alloys. Applicable products are stamped with the CRN logo for easy identification.
