AMETEK Power and Data Systems Showcases Cessna Denali Programs at NBAA-BACE 2017
Visit Booth N5313, Las Vegas Convention Center, October 12-13, 2017

LAS VEGAS, NV -Among the products showcased by the Power and Data Systems (PDS) business unit of AMETEK Aerospace & Defense at NBAA-BACE 2017 in Las Vegas (October 10-12, 2017) are two recent product development programs with the Cessna Aircraft Company, a subsidiary of Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, for its Cessna Denali high-performance, single-engine turboprop.

AMETEK PDS is providing the flap system for Denali turbo-prop aircraft. The flap system developed by AMETEK consists of eight mechanical actuators and a flap power drive unit (PDU) for each aircraft. The PDU is an off-the-shelf design based on the AMETEK MP50Y Series motor initially developed for the flap system aboard the Cessna Citation Mustang business jet. The mechanical flap actuators developed for the Cessna Denali are new additions to AMETEK's line of electromechanical actuators.

In addition to the flap system, AMETEK PDS developed the Cargo Door Motor for the high-performance Denali aircraft. The Cargo Door Motor supports Cessna's goal of providing the largest aft cargo door in this market. The Cargo Door Motor is a derivative of the AMETEK GM50 Series Cabin Entry Door Motor designed for the Cessna Latitude and Longitude programs. The GM Series eliminates the need for the outdated cable and pully door system.
