AMP Capital has launched a dedicated online resource centre to help financial advisers have more meaningful investment conversations with their clients.

Housed on AMP Capital's website, the Adviser Resource Centre provides financial advisers with easy access to a wide range of education-based materials and tools. The content addresses a variety of investment concepts and themes from basic asset class education through to the merits of long-term investing, navigating volatility, risk and asset allocation.

AMP Capital Head of Retail and Corporate Business Craig Keary said as the industry is changing and the financial adviser's value proposition is being redefined, the materials will help facilitate the adviser's role as an educator.

"Ultimately, AMP Capital wants to support financial advisers in guiding their clients' decision making in order to help them achieve better wealth outcomes," Mr Keary said.

"The Adviser Resource Centre addresses myriad investment concepts and themes, providing materials that can be used at different stages of the advice journey and at different points in market cycles.

"This latest initiative is the evolution of last year's successful Act Now for a Better Tomorrow campaign where AMP Capital created tools to help advisers give clients the confidence to re-enter markets after a period of volatility and to stay the course of long-term investing."

The Adviser Resource Centre will present topics in different formats such as presentations, videos, charts, articles and tools to suit the different needs of the financial adviser as well as the varying levels of client sophistication. It has been developed in conjunction with advisers, who were consulted about the content and also the functionality of the site. AMP Capital will continue to seek adviser input on future topics and themes to ensure all updates are aligned with issues being raised in client meetings.
