AMP Capital has appointed Philip Pacey as a Principal in its Infrastructure Equity team based in London.

Mr Pacey will join the asset management team within AMP Capital's global infrastructure platform, which has assets across transport, energy, communication and utilities. He will report to AMP Capital Head of Asset Management, Europe, David Rees and will commence on 1 September 2016.

Mr Pacey has more than 20 years' board level experience across transport and infrastructure-related companies.

Mr Rees said Mr Pacey's appointment strengthens the asset management team for AMP Capital's Infrastructure Equity business.

He said: 'Phil's extensive experience, which includes infrastructure management expertise across operations and finance, makes him a valuable addition to AMP Capital's global Infrastructure Equity team.

'Phil's diverse background means he has a unique perspective on delivering shareholder value and his appointment demonstrates our commitment to delivering the highest levels of asset management for the benefit of our investors.'

Mr Pacey was most recently an independent consultant with ESVAGT, a leading provider of emergency response and rescue services in the offshore oil and gas industry in Denmark and Norway. AMP Capital owns 50 per cent of ESVAGT.

He has held senior finance and operational roles at Virgin Rail, Metronet Rail and GNER, and in the Go- Ahead airport services and car parking businesses prior to their disposal. Mr Pacey has also managed teams in the procurement, IT, commercial and risk disciplines. In addition, he has been an independent adviser working on sales and acquisition transactions, rail franchise bidding and business development and operational review work in Europe and North America.
