AMP improves online customer experience
AMP has launched improvements to its online services,
offering a more contemporary and personalised experience
through its customer website My Portfolio and the AMP website
(www.amp.com.au).
The AMP website has been improved with easier navigation and
educational materials while My Portfolio now includes an
innovative Retirement Simulator, an Insurance Needs
Calculator, and customer-specific educational content.
AMP Director of Business Marketing Cam Cimino said the
improvements are designed to engage and empower more
Australians to take control of their financial futures.
"We all know that sorting out our finances has a positive
impact on our overall well-being. The process of reviewing
our financial situation and setting goals can help people
feel like they're on the right track and heading towards a
comfortable future.
"The new AMP online experience aims to facilitate this
process by educating people on super and insurance, assisting
them to set retirement goals, and arming them with options
that allow them to take action," Mr Cimino said.
The AMP websitenow has a series of
11 educational videos explaining broad concepts
of superannuation and insurance options, as well as tailored
content targeted at people at different life stages.
The customer site, My Portfolio, now features an advanced
educational offering, including:
• Personalised retirement savings projection with goal
tracking capability
• An advanced Retirement Simulator and Insurance Needs

• SMS or email alerts and reminders

Projection of super balance with goal tracking
Customers see a personalised retirement savings projection
based on their current super balance, contributions and
investment allocation, as soon as they login to My Portfolio.
This can be tracked against a desired retirement savings goal
to see if they are on target to achieve this.
Retirement Simulator
Using a simple three-step process, the market-leading AMP
advanced Retirement Simulator enables customers to set
retirement goals, assess whether they are on track to
achieving their goals and consider a range of ways to achieve
their desired retirement lifestyle aspirations.
"The Retirement Simulator gives customers a glimpse into
their retirement future and some options for improving this
future. Customers can save their results and review and use
them to start a discussion with a financial planner. And if
and when changes happen in life, they can come back, adjust
the numbers and update projections," Mr Cimino said.
Insurance Needs Calculator
My Portfolio's new insurance section provides customers with
a quick view into all the AMP insurance policies they hold
and the amount they are covered for. Customers can also add
in policies not held with AMP to gain a complete view of
their insurance cover. The Insurance Needs Calculator can
help customers determine the appropriate level of insurance
for them and take action if there is a shortfall.
SMS or email alerts and reminders
Using My Portfolio, customers can set up SMS or email alerts
and reminders, such as an alert to check the performance of a
fund or a reminder to update their beneficiaries or renew
their Income Protection insurance.
Tailored educational content
When they login to My Portfolio, AMP customers are presented
with tailored educational content relevant to their profile,
including their age, gender, risk profile and product
balances. This includes easy-to-understand facts, videos and
case studies on topics such as super savings strategies and
investment options.
Mr Cimino said customers now look to websites, after friends
and family, for factual information on retirement. My
Portfolio presents AMP customers with content relevant
them.
"The improvements to both the AMP website and My Portfolio
give AMP customers more control over their retirement goals
by providing them with insight into what the future might
look like and some of the things they can do to help them
achieve their retirement lifestyle aspirations," Mr
Cimino said.
