October 13, 2015 - ANA, Japan's largest airline and Avianca, a leading Latin American airline, announced today the start of code-share services as of October 25, 2015. Passengers will be able to book flights with ANA flight code between Japan via the USA or UK to Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, available for purchase starting October 14, 2015. *Subject to government approvals

ANA and Avianca joined Star Alliance in 1999 and 2012 respectively. Members of each airline's mileage club will continue to be able to earn air miles and use rewards on all flights operated by either company. Continuously, passengers traveling on multi-leg flights including a code-share leg will only have to check-in once to check their baggage through to their final destination.

Osamu Shinobe, President and CEO of ANA, said: 'We are pleased to welcome Avianca which has the largest and most comprehensive network in Latin America as our code-share partner. This will give our customer access to a wider network.'
