TOKYO, August 15, 2014 - In September 2013, ANA Group launched its 'Tastes of JAPAN' campaign. This project, which introduces regional beverages and cuisine to ANA flights, airport lounges and other services, is designed to raise the profile of Japan's lesser-known prefectures, particularly to overseas customers, and drive tourism to Japan. The project is also intended to stimulate local economies, in part by boosting consumption of regional agricultural products.

The fifth phase of the project will introduce ANA customers to products from Ishikawa, Okayama and Oita prefectures between September and November 2014. This will include:

Kanazawa's Jibuni
The regional cuisine of Kanazawa, including jibuni (simmered duck and various ingredients in soy-based sauce) and simmered black throat seaperch (white fish) in soy-based sauce, with the crabmeat rice produced from the specially cultivated rice "Hotarumai" in Komatsu City. This dish will be available in business class on certain international flights.

Marinated yellow chives and shad harvested in Okayama Prefecture
Fresh yellow chives rolled in sweet-and-sour marinated shad, with various colors of marinated vegetables having the coriander flavor. The yellow chives and shad were harvested in Okayama Prefecture. Available at ANA SUITE LOUNGE at Narita and Haneda Airport.

Grilled Oita Bungo beef loin with Ajimu wine Imori-dani merlot wine sauce
High quality Oita Bungo beef loin was grilled carefully, and topped with the tasty sauce produced from shallots, Ajimu wine, etc. Enjoy it with the puree of parsley and spinach. This dish will be available in first class on certain international flights.

Airport Lounges: Japanese Sake Corner
As part of the project, ANA customers are able to sample Japanese sake, shochu and awamori, the 'Kokushu' or national spirits of Japan, at ANA airport lounges in Haneda, Narita and Kansai Airports.
