Airline to double flight frequency between Haneda and Jakarta

TOKYO, January 19, 2017- ANA, Japan's largest airline, has revealed the timetable for the 2017 summer schedule to improve passenger convenience and comfort.

The airline will increase its flight frequency between Haneda Airport and Jakarta from one to two per day starting August 1, 2017. This will bring the number of ANA flights between Tokyo and Jakarta to three round trips per day, including its existing daily service between Narita and Jakarta. ANA currently flies from Haneda to six cities* in the ASEAN region, and three of these will be double daily: Singapore, Bangkok and Jakarta. Haneda Airport not only offers the best access to central Tokyo, passengers can also utilize the airport's vast connections to ANA's largest domestic network.

*Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta, Hanoi, Manila and Kuala Lumpur

The new Jakarta flight will depart Haneda at 11:30pm and arrive at Jakarta at 5:05 in the early morning the following day. The return flight will depart Jakarta at 6:55am, arriving at Haneda at 4:30pm. Together with ANA's existing service that departs Haneda in the morning and departs Jakarta in the evening, customers will have another choice to fit their schedule.

ANA is also expanding full-flat seat service in Business Class, and adding Premium Economy seats to the cabin. Those seats are currently available on flights to all six European destinations, all 10 North American destinations, Sydney, Australia and some of Asian destinations. By September, the carrier will be introducing those seats on all flights to Honolulu, and by November they will be available on eight routes totaling 11 flights to destinations in Asia.

ANA has been expanding its international network to enhance customer convenience, opening up 10 new destinations during past three years and will reach 42 cities worldwide by the end of FY2016. Strengthening our dual hub airport operations in Tokyo area helps us meet growing demand: at Narita for international transfers between North America and Asia, and at Haneda for international-domestic connections.

In FY2017, ANA will be increasing its flight frequency on existing routes, and at the same time it will upgrade its services and benefits for customers, introducing brand-new aircraft to further meet customers' needs.
