TOKYO, July 13, 2016 -MRO Japan, the specialist aircraft maintenance subsidiary of ANA HOLDINGS, has been selected as sole preferred airframe maintenance provider in Asia for the new Mitsubishi Regional Jet, the first passenger aircraft to be manufactured in Japan.

As the Asia air travel market continues to show robust growth, an increasing number of airlines, particularly low-cost carriers, are expected to operate without their own aircraft maintenance facilities.
As the preferred airframe maintenance provider in the Asia region, MRO Japan will undertake a full range of maintenance work on the MRJ, including heavy maintenance and support for the MRJ fleet during flight operations. MRO Japan will harness its knowledge and experience to work together with Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation to improve the quality of the MRJ in operation, and help ensure that the Japan-made MRJ is positioned to become the aircraft of choice among airlines and customers as the air travel market in Asia continues to grow.
