TOKYO December 14, 2017 -Shinichiro Ito, Chairman of the Board of ANA HOLDINGS INC., was named the Person of the Year 2017 by Orient Aviation magazine, the leading commercial aviation news magazine in the Asia-Pacific region. Shinichiro Ito is the only person who received the award twice.

Unveiled yesterday in the December issue of the magazine, Shinichiro Ito was judged as demonstrating the highest level in leadership, imagination, outstanding business ability and an appetite for revolutionary change. Orient Aviation noted that Shinichiro Ito has led the ANA group through a remarkable period of growth that has transformed the carrier to a global airline company that is consistently rated as one of the top five carriers in the world.

The Orient Aviation Person of the Year was launched in 1997 to honor the airline CEO in Asia Pacific that had delivered the most outstanding performance on all levels at their airline. Previous winners have included Emirsyah Satar Garuda Indonesia president and CEO, Chew Choon Seng, Singapore Airlines CEO, Tony Fernandes, AirAsia CEO.
