ADI's AD9361 RF Agile Transceiver™ selected for Ultimate Product award for demonstrating innovation and leadership in the electronics industry.

Norwood, MA (04/10/2014) - Analog Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADI), announced that its breakthrough software-defined radio (SDR) transceiver technology has been recognized by EE Times and EDN with a 2014 UBM Tech ACE Award in the Wireless/RF Ultimate Product category. Supporting a variety of SDR platforms, the AD9361 RF Agile Transceiver™ was honored at an awards ceremony at The Fairmont San Jose during the EELive! show, where it was chosen by a panel comprised of leading academics, industry executives and content experts.

Operating over a frequency range of 70 MHz to 6 GHz, the AD9361 Agile RF Transceiver is a complete radio design that combines multiple functions, including an RF front end, mixed-signal baseband section, frequency synthesizers, two analog-to-digital converters and two direct conversion receivers, in a single chip. The AD9361 supports channel bandwidth from less than 200 kHz to 56 MHz, and is highly programmable, offering the widest dynamic range available in the market today with state-of-the-art noise figure and linearity.

The AD9361 is also available in an AD-FMCOMMS2-EBZ-FMC board that provides designers with a rapid prototyping environment that supports multiple communications protocols, including most licensed and unlicensed bands.

AD9361 RF Agile Transceiver Wins Multiple Industry Awards

The UBM Tech ACE Awards honor the people and companies behind the technologies and products that are changing the world of electronics. A panel of EE Times and EDN editors narrowed the entries to five finalists in each category, based on the criteria set forth in an online submission form.

"We are continually amazed at the level of creativity in the design, innovation and technology exemplified by these award winners," said Patrick Mannion, VP, Brand Director, UBM Tech Electronics. "The ACE Awards celebrate the highest achievements in innovation and creativity in electronics design, and selecting one organization or individual that stands out above the rest is incredibly challenging. We are pleased to be able to celebrate their achievements."

In addition to the UBM Tech ACE Award, the AD9361 was recognized by EDN magazine as a 2013 EDN Hot 100 Product for being among the electronics industry's most significant products of the year, and received a 2013 Product of the Year award from Electronic Products magazine.
