AngloGold Ashanti : Fatality At AngloGold Great Noligwa Mine, Investigation Underway

AngloGold Ashanti Ltd. (AU), Africa's largest gold producer, Thursday said it's carrying out an inspection at its Great Noligwa mine in South Africa following a fatality.
The company declined to say if the mine was closed while it and the Department of Mineral Resources carry out an investigation.
The death was caused by a fall of ground late Wednesday, AngloGold said.
Great Noligwa produced 94,000 troy ounces of gold in 2011.
