POSITIVE PROFIT ALERT

FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2017

This announcement is made pursuant to Rule 13.09(2)(a) of the Listing Rules and Inside Information Provisions under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance.

The Board wishes to inform shareholders and potential investors that the Group is expected to have a significant growth in results and to record an increase of approximately 70% to 90% in its Net Profit for the year ended 31 December 2017 as compared to that for the year ended 31

December 2016.

Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the shares of the Company.

This announcement is made by Anhui Conch Cement Company Limited ("Company", together with its subsidiaries, collectively referred to as the "Group") pursuant to Rule 13.09(2)(a) of the Rules ("Listing Rules") Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and the Inside Information Provisions (as defined in the Listing Rules) under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

The board ("Board") of directors ("Directors") of the Company wishes to inform shareholders of the Company ("Shareholders") and potential investors that, based on the operating results of the Group in 2017 prepared in accordance with the PRC corporate accounting standards, the Group is expected to record a significant increase in its net profit ("Net Profit") attributable to the Company's equity holders for the year ended 31 December 2017, within the range of approximately RMB5.97 billion to approximately RMB7.68 billion, as compared to that of the year ended 31

December 2016, representing an increase of approximately 70% to 90% in its Net Profit (the Net Profit for the year ended 31 December 2016, as extracted from the financial results prepared by theCompany in accordance with the PRC corporate accounting standards, amounted to approximately RMB8.53 billion and earnings per share was RMB1.61).

The Directors believe that such significant increase in the Net Profit for the year ended 31 December 2017 is mainly attributable to the positive impact of the supply-side structural reform of the cement industry, resulting in an increase in the selling price of the Company's products and a significant increase in the operating income in the year ended 31 December 2017 as compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.

The Group is still in the process of preparing and finalising its audited consolidated annual results of the Group for the year ended 31 December 2017. The information contained in this announcement is only based on the internal management accounts of the Group (which have not been reviewed or audited by the Company's auditors) and the preliminary assessment by the management of the Company. The audited consolidated annual results of the Group for the year ended 31 December 2017 is expected to be published by the Company in March 2018.
