Today, Igor Koshin, Governor of the Nenets Autonomous District, and Vladimir Nesterenko, General Director of LLC Bashneft-Polyus (a joint venture of JSOC Bashneft and OJSC Lukoil responsible for the development of the R. Trebs and A. Titov fields), have signed the Protocol to the Cooperation Agreement for 2015.

In addition, today the Agreement and the Protocol for 2015 to the Agreement on Social and Economic Cooperation have been signed by the Administration of the Nenets Autonomous District and LLC Vostok NAO Oil Company, another joint venture of Bashneft and Lukoil conducting geological exploration at seven licence areas in the north-east of the District. The documents were signed by the Governor of the Nenets Autonomous District Igor Koshin and the General Director of LLC Vostok NAO Oil Company Vladimir Sarychev.

'As our joint projects with Lukoil in the Nenets Autonomous District are developing successfully, the contribution of our companies to the implementation of social programs for the benefit of all of the region's residents is also growing,' commented Bashneft's President Alexander Korsik. 'This cooperation and focused efforts of the Administration of the Nenets Autonomous District to create a favourable environment for investing and operating activities of businesses contribute significantly to the District's social and economic development.'

'We have developed an effective and constructive relationship with Bashneft and Lukoil, which operate in the Nenets Autonomous District,' emphasized Igor Koshin, Governor of the Nenets Autonomous District. 'They are our reliable partners that not only boost production, invest in the development of industry, generate revenue for the budget of the District and the Russian Federation and establish new enterprises incorporated in the region, but also actively participate in the social and economic development of the region, its cultural and sporting life.'

The documents signed by the companies stipulate that in 2015 LLC Bashneft-Polyus is to provide charitable funding for infrastructure and social projects, as well as for measures in the field of sports, culture, education and health care in the Nenets Autonomous District totalling 40 million roubles, while LLC Vostok NAO Oil Company is to provide 10 million roubles.
