Antares Energy Limited (ASX:AZZ) (Antares or the Company) advises that further to the trading halt requested on Thursday 17 July 2014, it has received a confidential, unsolicited, indicative and incomplete proposal in relation to the acquisition of the entire issued capital of the Company.
James Cruickshank, Chairman of Antares advises, " That having now received and reviewed the terms of the offer, the Company has sought additional clarification of these terms and provided to the bidder an amended term sheet.
Should these ongoing communications lead to an acceptable term sheet, we would then enter into an additional confidentiality agreement to allow the bidder access to the Company's data room to enable them to complete appropriate due diligence.
Until such an agreement is reached or until further notice, Antares advises shareholders to take no action."
