The IAB
Networks and Exchanges Committee is comprised of senior leaders of
ad networks and exchanges that are general member companies. The
committee is dedicated to furthering the interests of ad networks and
exchanges in today's complex ad marketplace. Committee objectives are to
foster the highest standards of professionalism and accountability in
relationships with publishers, advertisers and the agency community, to
develop programs that enable revenue growth, and to create best
practices that protect consumers and the industry.
"I am honored to have been re-elected as the Co-Chair of the Networks
and Exchanges Committee," said Jacobs. "The networks and exchanges
marketplace is complex and confusing for a number of reasons so it is
important that those of us in the industry be evangelists for making it
simpler for our partners. In the last year I led the committee in a
number of efforts including the 2011 IAB Networks & Exchange Marketplace
and the first Quality Assurance Guidelines (QAG) Day, and am looking
forward to even more great programs though 2012."
Last year, Jacobs was selected
for an IAB Service Excellence Award, created to recognize outstanding
leaders who have driven advancements for the interactive advertising
industry, for his work in drafting the Networks & Exchanges Quality
Assurance guidelines, a document that standardizes networks and
exchanges information, and enhances buyer control over the placement and
context of advertising, thus providing brand safety. These guidelines
represent the end of an 18 month-long process of creating a new industry
standard that provides transparency and brand controls to advertisers.
