Apartment Investment and Management Co. : Aimco Increases Quarterly Common Dividend to $0.20 Per Share

Apartment Investment and Management Company ("Aimco") (NYSE: AIV)
announced today that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash
dividend of $0.20 per share of Class A Common Stock for the quarter
ended June 30, 2012. The increase is consistent with Aimco's Board of
Directors' intentions that were announced on May 11, 2012. On an
annualized basis, this is a 67% increase compared to the dividends paid
during 2011 and represents approximately 60% of projected 2012 Adjusted
Funds from Operations. The second quarter 2012 dividend is payable on
August 31, 2012, to stockholders of record on August 17, 2012.
