By division, Health & Personal Protection recorded sales of €376.55 million. Brokerage commissions and fees increased by 2.8 %, while insurance premiums were more or less stable. As activities in France and for expatriates remained upbeat and there was a favourable base effect, brokerage commissions and fees recorded strong growth in the third quarter, up + 8.4 %.

Property & Casualty recorded an increase of +5.0 % in sales to €212.13 million, in line with the trend in the first half of 2012. Brokerage commissions and fees inched down by 1.2 %, the growth for niche wholesaling activities in France and for international assistance not offsetting totally a temporary dip in the division's distribution activities in the context of the measures taken to streamline and combine the Group's networks. Insurance premiums increased by 20.7 % with the resumption of fronting for controlled risks originating from the Group's brokers, for which the retention rate is slight.

The third quarter was marked by the first-time consolidation of Asia Assistance Partners
