ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the world's leading natural and built asset design and consultancy firm, announced today that it has received several indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts awarded by the Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Omaha districts of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Most of these contracts have been awarded to multiple companies and ARCADIS has to compete for task orders to generate revenues.

The Baltimore District award totals US$125 million as a shared capacity contract for hazardous, toxic, and radioactive waste and military munitions services. With five companies participating, ARCADIS' equal share is valued at US$25 million. The Philadelphia District contract is a $5 million single award contract for ARCADIS covering similar services supplementing the District's capabilities for providing geo-environmental, geotechnical and professional services in support of various construction projects.

"ARCADIS looks forward to continuing our more than 20 years of support to the Baltimore District and will continue to apply innovative solutions to some of their most complex environmental remediation projects," said Heather Polinsky, director of the federal program for ARCADIS U.S. "We're pleased the Corps has recognized our contributions by selecting us as a trusted consultant and partner in helping them meet their environmental and engineering needs while improving public safety and human health."

In addition to these two contracts, ARCADIS as a joint venture with protégée firm, PIKA International, was recently awarded the Baltimore District's small business multiple award environmental services contract, a $100 million shared capacity contract for removal of hazardous materials and military munitions, as well as environmental sustainability services. With five companies participating, the ARCADIS-PIKA JV equal share is valued at US$20 million. Within the joint venture ARCADIS is expected to realize 60 percent of the gross revenues from this contract.

The ARCADIS-PIKA team was also selected as one of 10 for the Omaha District IDIQ multiple task order contract for environmental remediation services for the military munitions response program with a capacity of $250 million, setting its equal share at US$ 25 million. Under the ARCADIS-PIKA JV agreement, ARCADIS will realize 60 percent of the gross revenues for projects awarded to the JV.
