ARCADIS NV Amsterdam, 26 April 2017 - Arcadis (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the leading global Design & Consultancy firm for natural and built assets, confirms several appointments approved during its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders earlier today.
Peter Oosterveer was appointed for a period of four years to the Arcadis Executive Board and starts as CEO of Arcadis with immediate effect. Mr. Oosterveer's nomination as the new CEO of Arcadis was announced on March 9, 2017. Mary Ann Hopkins, who joined Arcadis in September 2016, was also appointed to the Executive Board and will be responsible for Arcadis' businesses in the Americas.
At the same meeting Niek Hoek and Ruth Markland were reappointed to the Arcadis Supervisory Board for an additional four years. Mr. Hoek has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board since January 2015, having joined the Board in 2013. Ms. Markland chairs the Remuneration Committee and has been a member of the Supervisory Board since 2009. In addition, the nomination of Wee Gee Ang, announced on March 10, 2017, was approved, and he joins the Supervisory Board for a four-year term.
Shareholders also approved the company's dividend proposal of €0.43 per ordinary share, representing 40% of net income from operations in 2016. All other resolutions that were brought up for vote were supported at the meeting.
