Following eight days of training, AREVA closed today the
second session of its Nuclear Learning Tour.
This initiative, unique in the energy sector, allows
AREVA's customers and partners to reinforce their knowledge
of nuclear energy fundamentals and of the group's
Led in English, this introductory program combines nuclear
site tours and lectures presented by specialists of the
sector. The training is also based on a variety of
educational tools (online interactive training modules,
simulators, site visits, etc.) adapted to the international
context of these meetings.
Following the success of the 2011 edition, this second
session attracted more than twenty participants
representing more than ten different nationalities.
Additional training sessions, open to all AREVA partners,
are scheduled for 2012 and 2013.
In his closing speech of this Nuclear Learning Tour's
second session, Ruben Lazo, Chief Commercial Officer of
AREVA, said "AREVA has designed this training for its
customers and partners to give them a global overview of
the nuclear industry in only eight days. The broad panel of
representatives who attended the 2011 and 2012 sessions
confirmed the value of this training program. The upcoming
