Active Risk Manager (ARM), the leading risk management software for major projects, programs and enterprises, won the "Highly Commended" Award for the Risk Management Solution of the Year at the Institute of Risk Management (IRM) Global Risk Awards, presented at a ceremony attended by 500 risk professionals in London on February 28, 2013.

Additionally, Active Risk customer, Crossrail, received a highly commended award for Partnership of the Year, for its work with contractors and suppliers on the £14.5 billion project which will drive 21km of tunnels under the center of London and increase the city's transport capacity by 10%.

The Institute of Risk Management which organized the awards, is the world's leading enterprise-wide risk education institute, with members and students in over 100 countries. The judging panel of 29 eminent risk practitioners from a wide range of industries around the globe included 'The Risk Doctor', Dr David Hillson, and Professor Stephen Carver of Cranfield School of Management.

Loren Padelford, Executive Vice President and General Manager at Active Risk said, "We are honored that Active Risk Manager has been recognized by the IRM and its distinguished judging panel. We are also proud that ARM customers Network Rail and Transport for London were shortlisted for awards, and that Crossrail was highly commended in its category. Competition was stiff with entrants from around the world covering many facets of risk management. This success follows the runaway victory of ARM-user Skanska in multiple categories at the CIR Risk Awards at the end of 2012 and further shows that ARM is the premiere risk management solution for owners and operators of major infrastructure, defense and energy projects worldwide."
