The value of home orders in January was 10 percent lower than in the same month of the previous year.
Orders centering on multi-dwelling homes decreased.
Orders were nevertheless the third-highest ever for a January, surpassed only by those of 2013 and 2015.
For the April to January period, the value of home orders was 5 percent lower than in the same period of the previous year, and for the October to January period, it was 11 percent lower than in the same period of the previous year.
