Ascendas Property Fund Trustee Pte. Ltd. (the "Company"), as Trustee-Manager of Ascendas India Trust ("a-iTrust"), wishes to announce that Mr Sanjeev Dasgupta, the CEO Designate of the Company, would succeed Mr Jonathan Yap as CEO of the Company on 11 July 2014. Mr Yap will continue as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of the Company.
Mr Dasgupta will also be appointed as CEO of India Funds by Ascendas Pte Ltd ("Ascendas"), the ultimate holding company of the Company, to oversee Ascendas' private India Funds with effect from 11 July 2014. His responsibilities in India Funds relate to private funds with different investment mandates from that of Ascendas India Trust and which may complement the growth of Ascendas India Trust. The Board has reviewed Mr Dasgupta's appointment as CEO of India Funds and is of the view that his role as CEO of India Funds will not be in conflict with his role as CEO of the Company.
