Lifewire and Chun Wo Jointly Present "Lifewire Run" To Support an Inclusive Society and Raise Funds for Child Patients of Rare Diseases * * *

(17 September 2017, Hong Kong) - Co-organised by Lifewire and Chun Wo Development Holdings Limited ("Chun Wo"), and with Asia Allied Infrastructure Holdings Limited ("Asia Allied Infrastructure") as platinum sponsor, the "Lifewire Run" was held this morning at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park with more than 2,700 athletes taking part in the race. Over 60 organisations sponsored and participated in the "Lifewire Run" event, which raised approximately HK$1.9 million. Net proceeds will be donated to Lifewire for addressing child patient cases.

Mr Paul Chan, Financial Secretary of the Government of HKSAR; Ir Dr Derrick Pang, JP, Founder of Lifewire, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Asia Allied Infrastructure; Dr Ko Wing Man, former Secretary for Food and Health of the Government of HKSAR; and artist Kandy Wong (糖妹),

cheered on the runners while serving as officiating guests of the event. "Wheel for Oneness" runners and child patients with rare diseases joined the 10km run. The child patients said that they were happy to complete the run and hoped the event could foster widespread public awareness of rare diseases.

Mr Paul Chan, Financial Secretary of the Government of HKSAR, said, "Thanks everyone for joining this charity run today. Every step we make, every dollar we contribute, all are crucial support to the kids. A big thank you to all of you here today." Ir Dr Derrick Pang, JP, Founder of Lifewire, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Asia Allied Infrastructure, said, "Through the Lifewire Run, we hope to promote Hong Kong's 'Lion Rock' spirit, which promotes perseverance, unity and cooperation, while raising funds for child patients with rare diseases. We appreciate the active involvement of all participants in the charity run. And we hope that more disabled individuals will be welcomed into the community in the future, leading to the development of an inclusive society and part of a more harmonious world."

In the coming three years, Lifewire and "Wheel for Oneness" will bring disadvantaged children to run across deserts and extreme terrains, such as the Gobi Desert and Sahara Desert. The fundraising campaign, which involves running across six continents, aims to promote an inclusive society (傷健共融) as

well as raise funds to support paediatric care. Participants of "Wheel for Oneness" come from all walks of life, and include the disabled, members of the police force, entertainers, artists and athletes, all of whom are required to carry a child patient on a specially designed wheelbarrow to complete the run.
