ATMAN has enlarged its fiber-optic network to include another access node outside Poland. This time the range of the network has been expanded to include the NIX.CZ exchange point, located in Prague, which will enhance connectivity with customers and partners beyond Poland's southern border.

ATMAN is consistently expanding its foreign telecommunications infrastructure. In January of this year a new access node was created at the DTEL-IX inter-operator exchange point in Kiev, followed by a connection to the Giganet hub, also located in the Ukrainian capital. Having ensured good connectivity with Eastern (and previously with Western) Europe, ATMAN turned its attention southwards. The connection to the Czech NIX.CZ point increased the resources at the disposal of the ATMAN network by a further 1100 km. The total length of its international and intercity telecommunications infrastructure now stands at 14,100 km.

'Investment in a further foreign exchange point is a response to the growing interest being shown by customers from Central and Eastern Europe in colocation and transmission services. Poland is not only excellently located, but also has modern data centers that provide storage and processing of data in accordance with the highest European standards. ATMAN is currently the only Polish operator to have a presence at several major foreign exchange points. Western Europe is represented by AMS-IX (Amsterdam), DE-CIX (Frankfurt) and LINX (London), while in Eastern Europe there are MSK-IX (Moscow) and the two previously mentioned hubs in Kiev. Thanks to connectivity with foreign IX points, access to approximately 50% of global Internet resources in the ATMAN network takes place via unlimited direct points of contact with hundreds of operators. For ATMAN customers this means significantly faster and more stable data transmission, and consequently greater security in telecommunications services.

ATMAN itself also manages an inter-operator exchange point, one of Poland's largest: Thinx IX located in Warsaw. Traffic exchange at such nodes takes place based on agreement between Internet service providers, who communicate freely between their networks in order to increase the stability of data transmission. By operating on this principle, Thinx IX provides its participants with access to the resources of Polish (EPIX, PLIX, TPIX) and European exchange points. Connection to the Prague-based NIX.CZ thus increases the attractiveness of the services offered to the operators participating in Thinx IX.

It should be noted that the Thinx exchange point belongs to the European Internet Exchange Association (Euro-IX). This alliance, created by coordinators of the largest European inter-operator hubs, aims to improve and unify technical standards, determine common principles for operation and effective collaboration, and support the development of unified Internet exchange points.
