RE the letter from Mr Terry Craven concerning Esther McVey and ATOS. I fully agree with Terry but I am also at a loss as to what can be done about the situation especially with ATOS.
I have personal experience of them and to be honest they have driven me to distraction, and, to be even more honest, to the point where I fully wanted to do harm to myself.
It is no joke living on disability benefits but to have that taken away by some doctor at ATOS truly does break the heart and the spirit of the best of us.
In their wisdom ATOS totally disregarded my own doctor's evaluation of my health and in a half hour "interrogation" they decided I was fit for work.
God knows I wish I was fit for work as I hate being labelled a scrounger on benefits, but the sad truth is after working for over 40 years I found myself in really bad health and now to be punished for being ill is just a kick in the teeth.
It's no wonder some poor people kill themselves at this kind of treatment but like I said, what can I do? It's a sad state of affairs that there are many people like me and worse using food banks in the year 2015 in Great Britain. Please dont say vote for someone else as this won't solve the problem, so again I ask Terry and anyone else, what can we do? PS: Please don't print my name as, to be honest, I feel ashamed Name and address supplied
