LEGAL ACTION IN THE NETHERLANDS

Ad hoc announcement - Jersey, 1 October 2015. Atrium European Real Estate Limited (the 'Company') (VSE/Euronext: ATRS), a leading owner, operator and developer of shopping centres and retail real estate in Central and Eastern Europe, announces that it has received a legal action brought by the Dutch 'Stichting Atrium Claim' as the claimant seeking declarations in relation to prior actions of the Company. Stichting Atrium Claim was founded in October 2014 with the stated intention of bringing a legal action against the Company and claims to represent the interests of an uncertain and restricted class of investors in the Company who purchased certificates between 2002 and 2007, when the Company was known as Meinl European Land Limited.

Stichting Atrium Claim has filed this declaratory lawsuit against the Company in the Netherlands, notwithstanding that the Company is domiciled in Jersey. The Company regards this as an improper effort to take advantage of the legal instrument of a class action under Dutch law involving the same subject matter as investors' claims currently asserted in Austria against the Company.

The Company believes that the claim is misguided and without merit and that the Dutch courts should not assert jurisdiction over this claim. The Company will take all necessary steps to respond appropriately.
