HOUSTON, June 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Atwood Oceanics, Inc. (NYSE: ATW) (the "Company") today announced that it intends to offer, subject to market and other conditions, additional 6.50% Senior Notes due 2020. The notes will be an additional issuance of the Company's outstanding 6.50% Senior Notes due 2020, which it issued in January 2012 in an aggregate principal amount of $450 million. The Company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, including to fund its newbuild program. Pending ultimate use, the Company may use net proceeds to reduce outstanding borrowings under its senior secured revolving credit facility.
