On his official visit to New Zealand, United States Vice President Joseph Biden arrived and departed through Auckland Airport, supported by a contingent of 60 delegates, two Boeing 757 aircraft and a motorcade of 35 vehicles specially flown in.

What often goes unnoticed in the whirlwind of activity when these type of events occur is the effort made by staff at Auckland Airport to ensure everything runs smoothly. However, in this instance, Cam Potts from Auckland Airport's Airfield team, who more than proved to be one of the key players in ensuring everything ran-to-plan, got a tap on the shoulder from the United States Secret Security Service.

Cam was invited to meet at the Langham Hotel to be part of the formalities and a photo shoot, which of course included a meet and greet and the opportunity to shake hands with the Vice President Joseph Biden himself.

Cam was presented with a 'Vice Presidents of the United States' medal and had his picture taken with Joseph Biden which will be printed, embossed, signed and hand delivered by the United States Secret Service in the near future.

Well done Cam - you deserve it!
