'With this clear mandate to back us up, we will continue to keep a close eye on the Board of Management and vigorously represent the interests of the workforce in the Audi Group,' commented General Works Council Chairman Peter Mosch. He argued that only strong employee representatives on the Supervisory Board will be able to protect the jobs of their colleagues and stand up for the interests of the individual sites.

Irene Schulz, executive member of the Managing Board of IG Metall: 'Audi's good performance is also a success for the employees and for codetermination. If Audi wants to be a successful player in shaping the transformation of the automotive industry, it will only be able to do so in the future by offering secure jobs, fair pay and strong codetermination structures. That goes for all sites and employees worldwide. It's our job to see to that on the Supervisory Board.'

Representatives of AUDI AG's two German sites were elected: Joining Peter Mosch are the Vice Chairpersons of the Ingolstadt Works Council, Jörg Schlagbauer and Rita Beck, the Ingolstadt Works Committee member Helmut Späth and the Neckarsulm Works Council Chairpersons Rolf Klotz and Rainer Schirmer.

'Today's election result means a great deal to us as employee representatives,' remarked Rolf Klotz, Vice Chairman of the General Works Council. 'Together, we will forcefully represent the interests of the workforce on this key decision-making body and continue to ensure that future investments are directed at our sites.'

The senior executives at Audi are represented by Stefanie Ulrich, Head of HR at Audi in Neckarsulm.

The following trade union representatives were elected: Irene Schulz, executive member of the Managing Board of IG Metall, Johann Horn, First Authorized Representative of IG Metall Ingolstadt, and Petra Otte, Regional Secretary of IG Metall Baden-Württemberg.

The employee representatives are elected to the Supervisory Board every five years.
