UTair-Helicopter Services Completes Another Project on Yamal Peninsula

UTair-Helicopter Services has announced that the first phase of the project servicing the construction of the Gazprom Neft Novy Port oil terminal at Kamenny Cape on the Yamal Peninsula has been successfully completed. UTair operations within the polar circle were performed with BO-105 multipurpose helicopter equipped with pontoons for landing on water. The helicopter with a medic on board was available on call 24 hours per day and was engaged in medical evacuation operations and delivery of crew members to the company's production facilities.

"UTair has a history of participating in projects in the arctic," commented UTair-Helicopter Services president Alexey Vinogradov. "Our fleet includes rotorcraft capable of exclusive project operations in the climactic conditions of the far north. UTair professionals have unique experience working in even the most extreme conditions."

He further explained that UTair-Helicopter Services will be continuing its work on the integration of requirements for offshore passenger transport based on directives issued by the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers, Federal Aviation regulations and UTair's own guidelines for flight operations. "Currently we have the resources to conduct operations in the arctic and polar regions and on Russian sea shelf," Mr Vinogradov added.

The launch of operations of the new export terminal for oil extracted at the Novy Port oilfield is scheduled for late 2015.
