Have you experienced the benefits of any new features in recent updates of Pro Tools, like the Avid Audio Engine and 64-bit processing?

Yes, and we're using all the new features including Track Freeze and Commit. We also really like the new waveform view when editing!

How have you used Pro Tools on a recent project and what did you like/dislike?

At AIR, we host a range of differing recordings and our Pro Tools use changes by project. When mastering for a film score and orchestral recording, we rely on the playlist feature, which gives us the ability to quickly edit on the fly and makes doing stems very easy. Likewise, when recording for a major artist, we like being able to integrate into the mix old and new styles and being able to use hardware inserts to still use AIR's classic outboard.

What is you key feature / tip when using Pro Tools?

Keep your session organised and remember to hit save regularly!!

Any notable plug-ins that you just can't live without?

A few here at AIR: EQ3, BF76, Click II, Revibe, Altiverb
