Nearly 90 percent of customers who lost power during storm have been returned to service

Spokane, Wash., July 25, 2014:  Avista crews and reinforcement crews made good progress today in restoring service to the nearly 40,000 customers who were without power at the height of Wednesday's destructive storm. Nearly 90 percent of those customers have had their service restored.

Crews are continuing to be reassigned to reinforce crews working in areas still experiencing outages. Some crews will continue working throughout the night with fresh crews rejoining the restoration work at first light tomorrow. Avista expects a number of customers to have service restored later tonight and Saturday. It could be Sunday before some individual or isolate customers are fully restored. Information on restoration times is available at www.avistautilities.com.

Avista appreciates our customers' continued patience through this major outage.
