(NYSE: AVT), has today announced an agreement with IBM to become an authorised distributor for IBM Software in the Netherlands, further cementing Avnet's existing relationship with IBM as its largest global partner. Avnet will now offer business partners a simple roadmap to build competency and knowledge around the entire IBM Software portfolio, enabling them to drive business growth.  IBM Software represents an area of strong growth and profitability for Avnet's partner community in the Netherlands.
