The annual study 'What Influences The Influencers' by ComRes and Burson-Marsteller has named POLITICO Europe, a joint venture between POLITICO and Axel Springer, as the most influential publication among opinion leaders in the European Union for the second year in a row. A total of 69 percent of the surveyed EU experts said that POLITICO Europe is the most influential EU media, an increase of 16 percentage points compared to last year. Thus, the European edition of POLITICO again ranks above media outlets such as Financial Times, BBC, The Times or social media platforms like Twitter or Facebook.

POLITICO Europe leads the polls across all three groups of the 230 influencers: for Members of the European Parliament (59 percent), EU officials (72 percent) and other opinion formers (75 percent) the publication is the most influential provider of information for decision-making processes in their professional work.

Johannes Boege, Chief Product Officer POLITICO Europe: 'This is a great achievement for a start-up that is only three years old. POLITICO Europe has established itself as a leading journalistic medium in Brussels. We are particularly pleased that we were able to increase our figure by 16 percent points compared to the previous year and again lead over all the other established media brands and social networks.'
