BAE Systems is one of the world's leaders in designing, producing and marketing defense and aerospace systems and equipment. Net sales break down by family of products and services as follows:
- aeronautical and marine equipment (31.2%): aircraft, watercraft, submarines, etc.;
- land-based equipment (26.6%): combat vehicles, tanks, missile launchers, artillery systems, munitions, etc.;
- electronic communication, navigation, and simulation systems (22,8%). The group also offers ship and boat repair services.
The remaining sales (19.4%) are from activities in Saudi Arabia and Australia.
Net sales break down geographically as follows: the United Kingdom (21.2%), Europe (10.4%), North America (44.5%), Middle East (14.3%), Asia/Pacific (8.2%) and other (1.2%).
